Turn your app screens into a store showcase

Start here without an interview. 0 screenshots in your local draft.

Screenshot studio

Upload real screenshots, add benefit-led labels, choose a visual style, and export full-resolution App Store PNGs. Your app content is preserved by default.

Capture from an iPhone simulator

Run your uploaded iOS app in a hosted iPhone, tap through its screens, and capture them directly into this studio.

Set up your iPhone app
  1. Create an Appetize account and upload an iOS Simulator build containing your .app bundle. A TestFlight or App Store .ipa will not run here.
  2. For Xcode apps, build for an iPhone Simulator on a Mac and compress the built .app for upload. For Expo, add a standalone simulator profile to eas.json and build it in EAS cloud from Windows:
{ "build": { "store-screenshots": { "ios": { "simulator": true } } } }

eas build --platform ios --profile store-screenshots

Merge the profile into your existing build settings. Use a self-contained build with its JavaScript bundled; development builds that need a local Metro server need additional setup.

Upload the simulator archive to Appetize, then paste its app link or build ID below. Your build is hosted by Appetize; this connection uses its app sharing permissions.

Hosted sessions use your Appetize allowance and may incur charges under your plan. Start when ready and stop when finished. Returning to another dashboard tab stops the session.

Connect your app to get started

1. Capture → 2. Upload & label → 3. Style → 4. Export & submit

AppPreFlight formats your real app screens. Use the connected iPhone simulator above to capture directly, or upload captures from your own phone or simulator.

What to capture
  1. Your app’s main benefit — open the screen that proves this benefit, then capture it.
  2. Your most useful feature — open the screen that proves this benefit, then capture it.
  3. The result users get — open the screen that proves this benefit, then capture it.
  4. A second useful workflow — open the screen that proves this benefit, then capture it.
  5. Personalization or settings — open the screen that proves this benefit, then capture it.

Aim for 3–5 strong images. Lead with the main benefit and show one idea per screen. Use a clean demo account, remove personal information, and show features your release actually includes. Apple accepts 1–10 images per display size.

How to take screenshots
  • iPhone / iPad: press the side or top button and volume up together (Home-button models: Home and side/top). Transfer the original PNG files to this computer.
  • Xcode Simulator on a Mac: launch your app, navigate to each screen, and choose File → Save Screen or press Command-S. You can also run xcrun simctl io booted screenshot screen-01.png.
  • Android: press power and volume down together, or use the Android Emulator’s screenshot button. Transfer the original files. This studio currently exports Apple sizes; prepare Android assets separately using Google’s guide.
  • Web app: open your app in the browser’s mobile device view at the intended viewport, navigate to the screen, and use the developer tools’ Capture screenshot command. Review that it matches the app you’re submitting.
Where to upload the finished images

Download the ZIP below, extract it, then open your app’s version in App Store Connect → App Previews and Screenshots. Choose the matching display size and language, and upload the numbered PNGs in order. Select the iPhone 6.9-inch set first; iPad apps also need real iPad captures in the 13-inch set. Preview the listing before submitting your build.
